Today (25 Feb 2025), Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, clarified the case of the animal protection organization PETA (Peta) stating that Khao Kheow Open Zoo brought "Bouncy Pigs" to show themselves as an act of exploitation, animal cruelty, and unsanitary living conditions. The director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo has already come out to clarify all issues, confirming that all aspects of caring for wild animals, including welfare, housing, environment, and animal health, especially the mother of Bouncy Pigs, who has given birth to 7 puppies, are proof that the zoo is taking good care of them.
